Yes
It largely depends on how busy they are. Also, the kitchen is small, so don't expect restaurant level speed. If you're in a hurry, calling ahead is probably good.
Hello, we have vegan shumai, Vegan dumplings, vegan buns, and beans chocolate buns also vegan
Yeah, very delectable choices.
Yes, they have rooibos and many herbal teas.
The food they have are like steamed pork buns or dumplings so no.
In the parking lot behind the store there is an entrance that has no stairs or ramps. It takes you to the back of the shop near teas on the back wall.
Everytime I come here it's a great experience. Delicious food, delicious tea, and a really interesting shop to walk around and enjoy a different culture in.
The tea is amazing, the food was delicious. The woman who brewed our tea was very kind and informative. However, the only reason I gave 4 stars was, our order kept being forgotten. We received our dumplings, then they asked multiple times what we ordered, our buns were given to someone else, and in turn we waited a long time to finally receive everything. We will be returning though!
This tea house was such a wonderful and traditional experience! The staff were lovely and knowledgeable. Having been to a traditional tea ceremony in Beijing I really appreciated all of the attention to detail. Please know this is a relaxed experience so I think it's best to not be in a rush when you stop in. The soup dumplings were wonderful and we were not rushed at all during our time and they even have a loyalty program. We will be back soon and I appreciate they give instructions printed on the teas if you purchase any.
What a great experience! We got the tea ceremony as well as half the menu of food. My wife and I loved all of it. We had a late reservation and they let us order ahead which was really accommodating. We will be repeat customer, and I will be recommending this wonderful establishment to all of my friends.
First time to visit a tea house anywhere in my travels and I have to say, it was awesome. $5/person tea service, we had four people in our party so, $20 for tea service and food, we were surprised that our bill wasn’t more than it was. Great service as well. It is impressive what they cook in such a small kitchen. Overall, it is a great place that we will revisit.
I've visited here a few times and have always had a great experience. Sure, the service is a little slow compared to the mainstream but it's all about the experience. It's nice to be mindful, take it all in and enjoy. Totally my go to place when shopping for a new teas or gifts; such a great selection and knowledgeable staff!
We really liked the tea and the environment is very relaxed. After reading some of the other bad reviews, a lot of the same things happened with us. Not very good service and we were there for a little over two hours because they were serving other people who got there after us, before us. The food and gelato is very bland, but the tea is super good. We liked the steamed buns, but everything else we tried was eh, but not terrible.
The tea was good but that’s was the only positive part of our experience. The service was slow and very neglectful and the food was awful. We were greeted rather rudely by one of the employees, it seemed as if she was annoyed another customer came in. It then took over 30 minutes before anyone even came over to take our order and make the tea.. After we placed our order it took about an hour to get all of food which was made even more disappointing by the quality of the food. The fried rice was dry and cold and the dumplings we ordered were extremely over cooked and the broth it came in had no flavor yet tasted like dirty water. We were extremely disappointed by the whole experience.
Love this place. Beautiful space, lots of teas to try, delicious homemade foods with a small menu, but options for vegetarians too. A bit on the pricey side, so probably best not for a meal but rather tea and a snack.
This place is awesome. Great atmosphere!
The staff are all incredibly knowledgeable and the tea is beyond amazing! The owner also makes all of the gelato and dim sum by hand and that’s never stopped impressing me. Been getting my loose leaf tea here for 6 years and the quality and diversity of teas has only increased. It’s truly the calm quite atmosphere one would expect of a traditional tea house. This is a local business worth supporting!
I do enjoy coming here. It's a calm atmosphere with a relaxed yet knowledgable staff. To be honest I enjoy coming here for conversations and lazy afternoons with buddies. I don't think it's great for large groups, personally I think it's better one on one. The migraine tea is lovely, as is their stress tea. The rest of their selection is rather nice as well.
This place is very unique! I got the green passion fruit tea (I think😂) and it was very good! The steam buns were good as well. Cool atmosphere and would definitely go back!
I have not had a bad experience here in my two years of coming. The establishment has certainly gotten more busy recently which brings crowds looking for a different experience than what I think the tea house was made for. If you're looking for a quick bite or a one-off experience, this is not the place for you. I love the relationships I've been able to build with the lovely workers here, and the owner is stellar in every way. They are knowledgeable about every aspect of the tea here - from what's in it to how to brew it. For the best experience, make a reservation, come in with lots of time to spare, get some tea, a small bite, and take tea and gelato home with you. The tea is phenomenal so it's worth buying a couple ounces at least.
There are many teas to choose from, lined up in rows against the walls....So many teas, so many choices. You decide which one to try and take that glass jar of tea leaves to your table. At your table the hostess prepares your tea and serves it into mini glass pitchers with as many refills as you like. We tried their Dirty Chai tea, Superfine Jasmine Green Tea and their Women's Wellness tea....but teas are just half the Zen experience; they have a modest dim sum menu too( think Chinese version of Tapas) and oh it was all soo good that we had no room or desire for their ice cream desserts😁 Maybe next time....and yes, this place is a " next time" kinda place👍 We spent two hours there... relaxing in our Zen space; soft light, beaded curtains , flute music streaming.....and if it weren't for their bare wood chairs, no padding... I would give them 5stars....but next time, maybe try their alternate seating area up front with the pillows???🤔
Neat experience. I don't like tea (was with a group that did) and it was still a fun experience with the tea ceremony and the food was excellent. We tried a lot of different food off the menu and they all came out perfect.
The hostess is super knowledgeable and seems to have a passion for tea. This place is quaint and adorable. Food selection is limited to organic dim sum style to go with the tea. You'll find your new favorite tea in this tiny oasis.
Based on my over all experience...It was a unique experience, the inside was clean, the employees friendly and helpful. The owner was one of the nicest and genuine people I've come to meet. I recommend making a reservation ahead of time. When you come in expect to browse the different options of tea blends and after you make your decision you will be seated. My son and I shared some dumpling soup with spinach (delicious) and we had some steam buns (delicious) Enjoy your time here, enjoy the stories and enjoy each other's company.
We went to for our anniversary, and we were not disappointed. Everything was delicious and the tea ceremony was a treat.
Love this place for grabbing tea and a snack with friends. Very quiet and peaceful. Great selection of teas as well!
One of my favorite places! I’ve been there 3 times! The food is beyond AMAZING it’s so worth the wait!!! Customer service is personal and warming and welcoming! Now I’m a reoccurring customer!!!
First time here thanks to Google and this place didn't disappoint. As many others said this place has that picture perfect coffee. Your typical hipster coffee joint. The coffee was really good, service was really nice. We got the birthday cake and the lavender coffee. I also got an avocuddle toast which was delicious. I saw other people getting other food items that I'd love to try next time! This place got pretty packed by the time we left.
*This was an interesting lunch*Hostess “Can I help you”Me: “Yes I want to eat”Hostess: “Sir! this is is a ‘Tea 🍵 House’if you want to eat you have to have tea. Is that okay? Me: Yes Okay, I’ll have some tea and then I want to eat” lmao 😂 It ended up being great! Tea maker was really cool and knowledge and a very unique experience. I’ve never had the table side fresh tea. Dim Sum was delicious!!!
Loved it! Our hostess was the best. The chocolate mint tea tasted like happiness and a turn up!
So I've been to this place twice and I really like the atmosphere and the price is very reasonable. The same two ladies have been there both times and while they are very nice they seem overwhelmed when they get busy.
We joined friends here for tea and dim sum and it was a wonderful experience. Loved the variety of teas and the food was awesome! We will definitely be back.
Very interesting chinese tea house concept loved the environment. Various types of tea not to expensive dim sums were ok. Wonton soup was good. Staff were very helpful and catered to our needs with various types of tea.
Pros. 1. Good ambience2. Vegan options3. Macha ice cream is good. 4. There are not many places that you can eat dumplings in Colorado Springs. They have dumplings. 5. They try not to use plastics. Cons. 1. They call ice cream gelato but it is not really gelato. 2. Dumplings and buns are very greasy. 3. On the menu buns are described as 'steamed' but it was 'fried' as well. 4. Little portion5. If you want to dine in, to pay $5 each person for tea is obligation.
The atmosphere here is lovely, and the experience is well worth the fair pricing for a traditional tea ceremony. I can highly recommend the chicken dumplings, but all the food my group tried was delicious. Stop in sometime for a unique and delightful experience.
What a surprise and delight! They have Soup Dumplings and the variety of tea was amazing! We didn't know what we were walking into and we were so pleasantly surprised.
This is a Chinese tea house that offers tea and dim sum. They also sell tea pots, cups and other accessories. The enviornment feels very authentic and sitting down and having tea is an experience that is unique and fun. They have so many different types of teas and if you sit down for tea you individually choose your own. The homemade dumplings are so delicious, if you are like me you will find yourself craving them often. The service is always superb!
The employees are very nice and the atmosphere is relaxing and enjoyable. The tea and food is soothing and delicious highly recommend this place.
My girlfriend and I visited when we wanted to relax and take a breather while visiting the area. The tea ceremony was amazing and very informative. While there we also got the chocolate steam buns, it tasted kinda like pudding! I would recommend going and sitting down at the ceremony tables and having a pot or two.
Tanya's home-made bean & chocolate dumplings are sheer perfection! Pair these chocolate-filled treasures with her savory spicy sauce for a silky symphony of pure delight. I promise, your taste buds will do a victory dance! - Jo Pike
They have a large variety of teas which was nice. The first time my friend went she said that the person steeping the tea explained a lot about the process and different information about teas. However, this time it was silent, the person helping us out didn't say anything while steeping the tea, which was fine, just a bit awkward. I wasn't a fan of the food, it tasted a bit weird to me, but I know other people who have enjoyed it, so it was likely just a personal preference. The thing that really got me was after we paid, we were still drinking tea and they asked us if we wanted any more. We declined and continued to finish what tea we had left. A few moments later they came back and asked us to leave because there were people in the store waiting. I understand being busy, but I've never been asked to leave an establishment before. This rubbed me the wrong way and likely won't be back.
This place is awesome. We have a great time every time we come and so do our out of town guests when we get to bring them! Teas galore!
We came here for a friend of ours birthday, she is a regular here, and she normally enjoys her experience here. We cannot say the same thing. We had 7 people, and that is apparently too much for this small business. The server, who was condescending and rude our entire visit, made sure we understood that and repeatedly told us how we weren't the ideal patron. We all felt offended. We all work in the service industry, are all very patient people, and literally only had 4 tea's between us, but were repeatedly reminded in an extremely rude way that they don't usually do that big of parties. We apologized for the inconvenience to them and tried to make it as easy as possible but they continued to be very rude and not accommodating at all. The tea and setting was really cool but the service was literally horrible and we will not be returning again.
Lovely little tea house with an extensive selection of teas. The dim sum is wonderful and reasonably priced. The tea ceremony is part of the experience, and at $5 a person is not outrageously priced either. The atmosphere is relaxing and the service is very friendly and knowledgeable.
My coworkers and I try to visit a new place every couple weeks for lunch, and the Yellow Mountain Tea House was such a great find. We had the full tea experience and ordered a few different food items to try. Everything was packed full of flavor. I will definitely be back.
This was a truly wonderful experience. The staff were very knowledgeable and friendly. They made the experience memorable.
Great place! The staff is super friendly and the food is amazing. Oh don't let me get started on the homemade gelato! This place is also vegan/veg friendly!
I've been coming here for the last 3 years. Love it very much and have enjoyed seeing their popularity increase. They've recently added gelato which is very yummy to cool down on hotter days. Don't come here if you're in a rush, it's about enjoying the experience and taking your time.
This hidden gem has a relaxed atmosphere and is a great place to catch up with friends while enjoying something new and different! There is a myriad of loose leaf teas available to both buy and sample, brewed by highly trained staff to have the best flavor possible. There is also many dim sum items available to have with your tea, ranging from summer rolls (my favorite) to gelato. This is a must stop destination for anyone going about Old Colorado City!
